A record of delivery.
The engagements below were delivered by our founder across 25+ years in UK government technology — most recently as a senior consultant at one of the world's largest consultancies. The wins belong to those teams and their clients; the method and the experience are what Meladian is built on. Client names are withheld, and fuller detail is available in conversation.

The demo that broke "too risky"
A major UK government department had been burned by modernisation before; no demonstration without budget, no budget without demonstration. Our founder broke the catch-22 with a two-week proof of concept: a modernised slice of the system running side by side with the legacy platform, on the same data, through an anti-corruption layer. Leadership saw a reversible, bounded risk — and adopted the approach. Over four years it delivered seven modernisation programmes, all within budget, with no downtime and no significant defects.
30+ applications to the cloud, client satisfaction 10/10
Senior developer and lead designer on a ~£30m hybrid-cloud programme, modernising more than 30 legacy applications to Azure and AWS PaaS. The programme scored a perfect client NPS of 10.
£750k programme in trouble, shipped — then tripled
Took technical leadership of a regulatory programme on course to fail and drove it to delivery by financial year-end — then grew it into ~£1.3m of development work that would otherwise have been zero.
Four applications, £5m+, zero defects above cosmetic
Led a £5m+, four-application modernisation — recruited and built a team of 10 and ran a "modernisation by numbers" guardrails model. All four delivered on time and in budget.
AI agents in live delivery — ~40% productivity uplift
First on the account to bring AI agents into a live production delivery workflow, around nine months ahead of the mainstream. Guardrails, Git safety nets and defined patterns lifted raw productivity ~40% while improving quality.
An imaging system still earning its keep 15 years on
Conceived and built an in-house document imaging system replacing a third-party Unix/Oracle product — saving ~£150k a year, still in production 15+ years later with no significant defects.
